MAL uses a three phased approach
in addressing the maintenance issues facing companies today:

Phase I -- analyzes
the maintenance operation for backlog, preventative maintenance,
planning, work order assignment and wrench-in-hand time effectiveness.
MAL identifies deviations and the degree of waste
that exists including downtime, overtime, throughput and outside
contractor utilization.
Phase II -- implements
the required corrective actions to achieve a measurable
savings improvement by addressing work order planning, work
order assignment, operating behaviors and performance reporting,
define roles and responsibility definitions for both supervisors
and hourly.
Phase III -- audits on
an ongoing basis the results achieved in Phase II and manages
continuous improvement for additional available savings.
